Tax season is a great opportunity to learn how to create a great outer envelope design. The reason is because everyone in the workforce is looking for that W2 in their mailbox. They want to see that non-branded envelope so they can start filing their tax return for a large lump sum of cash.

The photo above is a scanned image of my personal W2 (edited for obvious privacy reasons). You can see that it’s a 6″ x 9″ envelope with a double window, non-branded and features official design elements. These tactical elements would guarantee an increase in open rates.
